Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
Whilst Leeds United were up to their old tricks again on Saturday, losing the game despite their dominance when it came to statistics, there was one man who has come in for a lot of criticism from some members of the Elland Road faithful.
Kiko Casilla didn’t have the best of days as he made what can only be described as a ‘howler’ for his part in Charlton’s winning goal, when he decided to punch the ball rather than catch it cleanly.
Despite having one of the best clean sheet records in the division, and being amongst the best when it comes to save percentage, it doesn’t really count for much if the goals he does concede end up being incredibly farcical, like the one he conceded on Saturday.
And his display certainly hasn’t gone down well with certain parts of the Leeds United fan base as they tore into the Spaniard for his ‘effort’ in trying to stop the goal.
The worst attempt at saving a shot I’ve ever seen in my life. What on earth is Kiko doing??? #LUFC pic.twitter.com/KoXoLNzBoJ

Very, very poor goalkeeping. You can’t expect to get promotion with s keeoer who can’t deal with stuff like this.

Why the hell didn’t he catch it. He is a liability, serious doubts about this guy. It’s like we want to lose…

Why was he punching it?! Just gather it!

This is so bad you could query match fix ????

Wow. Looked bad from the previous angle but this is even worse. He cost us points yet again.

And you all rated him over BPF last season. He cost us promotion with his constant desire to be a centre back. He’s overrated and will continue to cost us

First time I’ve seen it from this angle, that’s ridiculous, and just as we’re starting to praise him too

Whilst he may have managed to eliminate the crazy moments from his game that we saw last year, it doesn’t really help matters when you’re making mistakes on the goal-line instead.
