Another trip to London for Leeds this weekend, this time to in-form Crystal Palace. Can Leeds repeat their heroics at Selhurst Park last season, or will they fall short in the capital for the second time in a week.

Vital Quotes:

Kevin Blackwell:

‘I think it will be a cracking game. Both of us are looking to get promoted, no doubt about that.’

‘It’s a great start to the season. When you look at it, he’s (Peter Taylor) gone with some new players, new signings, and is there to make a mark, but so are we.’

Peter Taylor:

‘I think Leeds were expected not to spend money after they just missed out on promotion last year, but they’ve spent again and seem to be interested in a lot of players, so they’re having another go.’

‘Leeds have some good players and have started well, so it’s going to be a tough game as my scouts also told me that Leeds should have won at QPR.’

Crystal Palace Team News:

Peter Taylor has no fresh injury worries and is expected to again name an unchanged side.

Michael Hughes and Rhoys Wiggin are both still sidelined while Dougie Freedman may be pushing for a start after recent good performances from the bench.

Player to watch: Jobi McAnuff

Was Palace’s star player against Leeds last season, he’ll be hoping to repeat his performance.

Leeds United Team News:

Midfielder Erik Bakke is likely to miss out after needing stitches to the knee during the QPR game. Ian Westlake is expected to take his place after a good performance at Loftus Road.

Richard Creswell (knee), Neil Sullivan (dead leg) and Kevin Nicholls (knee) will still be missing for the Whites.

Player to watch: Ian Westlake

Hoping to continue from his brilliant display at Loftus Road and keep the starting spot for himself.
