26-year-old Ezgjan Alioski is a man who splits opinions in the Leeds United fan base, with clear talent he also has the knack of infuriating fans as he regularly misjudges the line and finds himself wandering offside in matches.
With the October international break in full flow, he did have reason to cheer at the weekend though as he found the back of the net for his country as Macedonia took a 4-1 victory over Liechtenstein in the Nations League and the win put them at the top of their group.
With his overall performance in the match, Leeds fans on social media were quick to lavish their praise on him, but the almost inevitable ‘offside’ issue still managed to rear its head.
Get innnnnnnnnnnnn @ezgjanalioski ????❤⚽ #MOT xx

I always said he’s class, I do think he’s offside too much and have said in the past he was born offside which some weren’t happy about even though it’s true. He is a class player though and I love the guy!

The boost in confidence should at least serve us well when real football returns and manager Marcelo Bielsa does rely on him and when on top of his game he’s obviously an asset to us, but given the type of player he is, he is an easy go-to when frustration is in the air and a lot of the good work that he does can often be overlooked.
