We’re looking good at the moment and tomorrow presents a chance for us to make a massive statement in the Championship.

We’ve started this season in superb form – let’s not beat around the bush – and tomorrow we play a Middlesbrough side that has started similarly well.

The game will be close, then, but we’ve got the chance to send out a message to the rest of the league and I expect them to do exactly that.

Jordan Hugill has sent the Whites a warning message, though, via the Teesside Gazette by saying that he and his Boro teammates are ready for us:

“We started well and I definitely think we are ready for Leeds now.

“It is going to be a good test for us with the start they’ve had and the start we’ve had. They’re a good side but we’ve matched them point for point.

“We are only behind on goal difference but we’ve scored goals and we are keeping clean sheets too so we are a decent team.

“For me, we are well equipped to go there and really give them a game.”

Hugill might not even play, of course, but it is nice that he and his fellow players are ready because they are going to need to be.

Now it seems as though we have a team ready to deliver on the fans’ expectations and with the atmosphere up it could be a special evening.
