Opinion: Leeds would be right to let this man be the latest to leave the club

We’ve let a number of players go this summer so far and though we’ve not signed many, I don’t think we should be completely opposed to the idea that more leave.

Marcelo Bielsa made it clear when he arrived that he wanted to streamline the squad and that has certainly happened.

A number of players have either left permanently on loan and, for me, it’s time Gaetano Berardi joined the exodus.

A bit of a cult hero, of course, some might disagree that he should be gone but, let’s be honest, he’s not good enough and we have better potential options.

Down the left of defence, Tom Pearce is a young, solid player who deserves the chance to grow whilst Barry Douglas looks set to come in and he is vastly superior to the Swiss defender.

Meanwhile, down the right, Luke Ayling is back fit and will start whilst I’d like to see Stuart Dallas or even Ezgjan Alioski used in the right wing-back role ahead of the rash Berardi.

He’s a passionate player who cares for the club and that is obviously good but that has spilt over far too often and, personally, I think we should sell and try and bring in another option.

What do you think? Time to let him go or should we keep him? Let me know!
