*On this day in 1967, Leeds lost 1-0 to Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final at Villa Park. Referee Ken Burns infuriated Leeds as he ruled out two goals in the game the most controversial being when Peter Lorimer smashed home from a Leeds free-kick late on in the game only for Burns to say the Chelsea wall was not in the right place.
**On this day in 1970, Leeds lost their FA Cup final replay against Chelsea at Old Trafford. In a brutal game, Leeds lost 2-1 after Mick Jones had given Leeds the lead.
David Webb scored a second-half winner for Chelsea but it was best remembered for the physicality of the replay.
