*On this day in 1974, Leeds moved a giant step closer to their second league title with a 3-2 home win against Ipswich Town. Allan Clarke, Billy Bremner and Peter Lorimer were all on target for Leeds as nearest rivals Liverpool were held to a goalless draw by Everton. Liverpool lost to Arsenal in the midweek to confirm Leeds as league champions before their final game of the season at Queens Park Rangers.

**On this day in 1992, Leeds moved a step closer their first league title since 1974 with a 2-0 win over Coventry City. Second half goals from Chris Fairclough and a Gary McAllister penalty saw Leeds make the most of Manchester United’s home defeat by Nottingham Forest earlier in the day.
