On-loan defender Stephen O’Halloran is sweating on a scan on his knee after picking up an injury in the warm up prior to Leeds League One fixture against Swindon Town.

Irish international O’Halloran, on loan from Aston Villa should find out today if his injury is serious enough to warrant an early return to his parent club, for the second loan spell in a row.

The injury meant a last minute re-shuffle for Gary McAllister who had included Stephen in the starting line up to face Swindon. Frazer Richardson stood in for the injured youngster and produced a stable performance.

Boss Gary Mac told leedsunited.com:

‘Stephen had a scan on Monday afternoon and we’re waiting on the results now. We’ve informed Aston Villa and we have our fingers crossed that’s it not too bad.

‘He said he felt something pop behind his knee. It was disappointing for him, he’d been in a couple of days and was looking forward to playing.’
