Much maligned and versatile Stuart Dallas is enjoying a great season at Leeds United in manager Marcelo Bielsa’s second season.
Having plugged plenty of gaps in the first team in 2018/19, he was always an easy scapegoat for a section of the fans but the 28-year-old has seriously impressed for both club and country across the first few months of the 2019/20 season and following a recent interview with the Yorkshire Evening Post, plenty of fans have been willing to throw further praise in his direction.
“I’m not going to be a world beater, but I’ll give it a go and if it means playing, that is what it is all about.” #lufc

The full interview is certainly worth a read as he discusses life under our Argentine gaffer and how he’s happy to play anywhere on the pitch, as well as the improvement in his own form, but one line, in particular, seemed to catch the attention of fans on social media.
“I’m not going to be a world-beater, but I’ll give it a go and if it means playing, that is what it is all about.”
Few could doubt his words given the energy and commitment he puts into performances, but again, it’s nice to see him getting the credit rather than the flak.
Excellent professional and a credit to our club #lufc

These kinds of players are often underrated. Every good team needs one.

This new fitter, more versatile Stuart Dallas is like a Championship version of James Milner. And that is a big compliment. He has been brilliant this season. #lufc
