Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa continues to prove himself a top class act following defeat to Birmingham City at the weekend.
Welcoming back former gaffer Garry Monk to Elland Road for the tie, Ezgjan Alioski’s late goal wasn’t enough to offset Che Adams’ first-half brace and Leeds tasted defeat for the first time in the Championship campaign of 2018/19.
With plenty of fans being matter of fact about the defeat – it was going to happen at some point after all – others focused in on individual player performances where it was felt some weren’t up to par.
Bielsa focused on himself.

His particular choice of words to sum up the game, as well as him shouldering the loss based on his own game plan and decisions, was extremely well received by fans and as plenty do these days, they were quick to take to social media to praise the gaffer for his honesty and for not blaming everything else around as being at fault, as managers often do in today’s game.
Nice to see he isn't blaming the team like previous managers…..

If MB can learn from this mistake great, but I thought it was the same Mistake as Millwall, KP as a third CB against 2 Strikers has now shown it doesn’t work in current style. GB back will give more options to play that formation soon, but plan c is required due to CB limitations

Honest coach taking the heat off the players some who were clearly off the pace today he will have them watch the game and put it right on Friday night.
