“Nothing New To Say” – Bielsa Gives Team Update Ahead Of Leeds Trip To Reading

|

Following on from the hard fought and late victory for Leeds United in last weekend’s clash with Luton Town, Tuesday evening’s Championship clash gives us a trip to the Madejski Stadium to face Reading.

Manager Marcelo Bielsa’s side remain two points off West Bromwich Albion in top spot, but on a form front, we should be looking at another three points and victory given Reading’s 18th place and struggles.

We rarely seem to make it that easy though, and in terms of the squad front, Bielsa confirmed on Monday afternoon that we weren’t going to welcome any of our injured players back for the game, although there was some good news on Eddie Nketiah with some confusion about how long the Arsenal youngster may in fact be out with his ‘abdominal issue’.

“It’s going to be the same group of players. There is nothing new to say. Next Thursday Eddie Nketiah is going to work, train with the group. And from there we’ll see how it’s going with him.”

Fingers crossed Eddie does come back to provide some competition on Thursday, and I think many would expect skipper Liam Cooper to come straight back in now.
