With Leeds United heading to The New Lawn on Friday evening to open the pre-season friendly portion of our pre-season build-up to the 2018/19 campaign, we did take a 1-0 victory in Marcelo Bielsa’s first time in the dugout but fans were far from happy, or convinced, come the full-time whistle.

With transfers being a serious bugbear at the moment for fans with only two loan signings arriving and reported favoured targets likely to go elsewhere as talks stall over the finances involved, the match itself was a welcome distraction for some.

For others, it just continued to highlight the deficiencies at the club and the problems we had, including those that were highlighted in the season of 2017/19.

One such problem for a number of fans who took to social media to give their thoughts was winger Ezgkan Alioski and it’s fair to say, from the below selection of tweets, that he didn’t impress those watching on.
