Across the years, Leeds United have had some players that could rightly be described as possible conundrums as they enter our folklore and raise a smile for both the good and bad of their game. Hadi Sacko’s spell with the club should fall into that category as he made a good start to life as a relative unknown when joining us on a loan spell from Sporting Lisbon back in the summer of 2016.
30 starts, 12 substitute showings and two goals later, the now 25-year-old earned a permanent move and that’s where it got tricky. Three starts and 15 substitute showings later, with an additional goal added to his tally then saw him loaned out this summer to Las Palmas, and then in January, he headed to Ankaragucu.
With a good turn of pace and plenty of raw talent, but work to be done on his touch, his time with us was marked by one moment where he decided to shoot (he missed) instead of squaring the ball to Chris Wood.
Showing a keen sense of humour, Sacko took to social media this last week after grabbing himself an assist in the game against Rizespor and a few Leeds fans appreciated his nod to history.
