Marcelo Bielsa and Victor Orta may have just landed a significant boost in their efforts to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Helder Costa, as the Portuguese star now follows Leeds United on Instagram.
It is a clear sign of the transfer window entering silly season when players following certain clubs on their social media accounts start to do the rounds. But whenever it happens, there’s that slim chance it is an update to the associated deal.
Add in that Costa only follows two other clubs on his Instagram account in current side Wolves and former side AS Monaco, and a screenshot by Leeds Live also showed he had started following Barry Douglas, then it’s happening, right?
Well, Wolves are open to Costa moving away from Molineux on loan this summer – providing they can sell Ivan Cavaleiro – and the Portuguese ace is thought to be one of boss Bielsa’s top targets, so there is always a chance.
For now, though, there is no need to get your hopes up over Costa following the club on Instagram. Especially given we had Dan James in the building back in January and now he’s signed for Manchester United.
