Leeds United fans can prepare themselves for another departure this week as it’s now been confirmed that Laurens De Bock arrived in Greece on Wednesday ahead of completing yet another season long loan away from the club, but this time with Aris Thessaloniki FC.
Earlier in the week a report from outlet Sdna suggested that the 26-year-old defender would be arriving in Greece on Thursday to thrash out the finer points of the loan move and to complete his medical as manager Marcelo Bielsa has again decided he’s surplus to requirements, following his loan spell last year out with Oostende.
Sadly from our perspective he’s another transfer that just hasn’t worked out following his reported £1.5million arrival in January 2018, as he’s only ever featured for us seven times and plenty will be disappointed that we haven’t been able to raise some real cash for him and secure a permanent transfer to bolster our own kitty, as surely we’re going to bring in a striker before the deadline window shuts?
The Yorkshire Evening Post did report the other week that if the deal went through, Aris would have a buy option at £500,000 though.
