‘No wonder’, ‘Pointless’: These Leeds fans blast board after pre-season defeat

|

It’s never fun losing to your rivals, but losing in this fashion just takes it to another level.

Leeds United suffered a huge step back in their pre-season plans as they were thumped heavily by Manchester United at Optus Stadium in Perth, Australia. Whilst it is only a pre-season game, the result doesn’t really matter, it’s more the manner of the defeat that has got Leeds fans so riled up. And can you really blame them after that performance?

However, it’s not just the players on the pitch that have come in for some slack.

A lot of fans have taken the result as a chance to criticise the hierarchy at the club for organising the friendly in the first place. Not only were they unhappy with the location, but a few of the side effects of doing so, such as only taking 16 players down under with them, with plenty of the new signings staying behind.

Nor were they happy with manager Marcelo Bielsa not going out for the whole trip. It’s going to take a lot of work during the rest of the summer to make fans forget about this.

Whatever their reasons for feeling angry, Leeds fans were not hesitant in taking to Twitter in venting their frustrations.
