Leeds fans have been busy replying to the club on Twitter, after the official Whites account asked ‘who has been your Young Player of the Season?’
Voting for the overall Leeds Player of the Season Award includes the likes of Pablo Hernandez, Kalvin Phillips and Kemar Roofe, but the young award will go to one of Jack Clarke, Tyler Roberts, or Jamie Shackleton.
All three have found a place for themselves in the first-team since Marcelo Bielsa’s arrival at Elland Road, with Clarke ushered in from the youth ranks to make his senior debut as a late substitute against Brentford in October.
The 18-year-old has gone on to feature a further 19 times across all competitions, scoring and assisting twice, with his maiden successful strike starting the comeback to beat Aston Villa 3-2 in December.
As for Roberts, the 20-year-old Wales international has been invaluable to our campaign, thanks to playing in a range of positions on route three goals and five assists, which saw the Whites beat Preston North End 3-0 and Hull City 1-0.
Shackleton, meanwhile, has found minutes slightly harder to come by during his first season as a senior professional, but has featured on 19 occasions in the Championship and assisted two goals, even though he has only been selected in the starting XI 7% of the time.
Should you wish, you can also vote for Bailey Peacock-Farrell, who has ten clean sheets from 29 games, Jack Harrison, who has three goals and assists, or Gaetano Berardi for the senior accolade.
Voting takes place online, but this is what’s being shared on Twitter…
No debate. Tyler is developing into a fantastic player

Up until about 10-12 games or so it would have been Clarke. But it’s got to be Tyler Roberts now.

Would have been jack but recently Tyler has been doing really well so in fairness it has to be
1) Tyler Roberts
2) jack Clarke— Doc (@333doc1) April 15, 2019
All three have been excellent, but Tyler has had the biggest influence on our season so that seals it for me.

Jack cuz he supports Leeds and it would be amazing if he won????????!

I would love to see more of Shackleton. I think he’s the real deal. Great skill and pace. None of the opposition really know him like clark. Clark was bigged up by sky and rightly so but i think Shackleton is as good if not better. Roberts gets my vote due to the fact he plays

These two are not even close to Roberts. This guy was pushed in the fire when we dont have a good replacement for some position in the squad.

100% Tyler Roberts, he’s come on leaps and bounds this season, looking like one of our key players in the second half of the season.
