No Blades Repeat

Shaun Derry is looking to erase the memory of the 4-0 thumping last season at the hands of Sheffield United.

United are clear leaders at the top of the table, but Leeds are in good form themselves and are hoping to continue that form and wipe away the embarrassing memory of last season.

‘Last season was humiliating, not just for the team, but for me as well, coming against a previous club. But things have moved on a lot since then. We have brought in a few more players and we are looking quite a solid side.

‘It’s different here now. Last season was a new dawn for the club and it was a case of getting that out of the way.

‘Things are going well so far this season. People are looking at us with a different opinion and seeing us in another light.

‘Sheffield United are still managed by the man who let me go,’ he added. ‘But it’s not about proving a point, because I don’t feel I have to do that, but you still want to do well against your old clubs.’
