Now this story is a little bit of a tenuous link, but don’t worry we’ll get you there.
Aden Flint is reportedly on the verge of signing for fellow Championship side Cardiff City. Now I know what you’re thinking. What’s this got to do with Leeds?
With Pontus Jansson leaving a pretty big hole in the Leeds United defence, it seems as though Leeds fans aren’t going to be happy until they see someone brought in to fill it. Especially if there are players passing them by who they either wanted or had a reasonable chance of getting.
Flint was reportedly a Leeds target a few seasons ago when he was still at Bristol City, and that’s potentially why Whites fans were annoyed that they didn’t pull the trigger and make a move for him this summer. Once again they used this opportunity to turn on the board, this time for not showing enough ambition.
I’m seeing Aiden flint going to Cardiff for 6 mil. Why have Leeds not looked at him. He’s a solid centerback #lufc #LUFC #lufctransfers

Aden Flint is one of if not the most Neil Warnock signing you could find. Always rated Flint and wanted him at Leeds. Very good move from Cardiff.

Leeds again showing no ambition ????????????

Just seen that Aden Flint is close to joining Cardiff, why can’t Leeds show some ambition and have made a bid for him? Would have been a very good signing and surely strengthened the defence #lufc #mot

Wish he was signing for us

He would be a brilliant signing. Always rated him

Although as some people pointed out, a 6’5 lump of a centre back isn’t exactly the kind of player that would fit into the current Leeds system, so maybe it’s best they left him alone after all.
People who know nothing about football suggest him as an option. Brain signals take 2 weeks to get from his head to his feet. No way he could play Bielsa ball. The search goes on #lufc

Not for me!!
ultimately he’s suited to Warnocks style of play not Bielsa’s
I know boro fans ain’t too keen either!— Joe wainman???????? (@WainmanJoe) July 18, 2019
