News: Vital Leeds duo are all ready for a return to action

|

An injury update from LeedsLive has confirmed that both Adam Forshaw and Pablo Hernandez are set to be included in Leeds’ squad for the upcoming game with Birmingham City.

Hernandez, who is essential for Marcelo Bielsa’s men, has missed three games and Leeds have only won one of those.

The former Swansea man has so far scored two goals this season and provided two assists – so his return should signal an increased attacking threat from the Whites.

Birmingham City arrive at Elland Road sitting in 12th, having lost three of their last five games.

The return of Hernandez should make Leeds confident they can extend that run to four out of six.

Another important player returning is Forshaw, who missed the defeat to Millwall before the international break.

The 28-year-old midfielder is a real workhorse in the Leeds engine room and covers a lot of ground for his team.

So, to have him back will be another major boost for Leeds – as they look to seal only their second win in the last five matches.

Certainly, Hernandez should prove to be the difference-maker against a side who are likely going to try and frustrate Leeds rather than play open, expansive football.
