News underlines Leeds were never going to have it easy in play-offs

|

The play-offs are well underway, of course, and tonight we learn whether we are going to be heading to Wembley to have a chance of making the Premier League.

We take Derby County on tonight and it is clear that we are in the driving seat to make it into the showpiece at the end of the month.

The weekend’s hero, though, Kemar Roofe, is missing from this one alongside a host of players from Gjanni Alioski to Barry Douglas.

Indeed, it was never going to be easy for us to make it through these play-offs – we’re Leeds United after all – but we can still plough on and get a result despite the mounting injury news.

It’s going to be a tense evening but, hopefully, Bielsa has a magic plan up his sleeve and the likes of Patrick Bamford and Jamie Shackleton can rise to the occasion.

We’re not far from finding out whether they can, though.
