News: Leeds want to take 24y/o from Glasgow giants in January

|

A report from the Football Insider has claimed that Leeds want to bring Glen Kamara to Elland Road in January.

The 24-year-old joined Rangers last year for a bargain £50k and has made 20 appearances this season, establishing himself as a key part of Steven Gerrard’s midfield.

Kamara is a great manipulator of the ball and has an average pass completion of 88.8% this season.

With Adam Forshaw currently out injured, Kamara would be a superb replacement for Forshaw, able to keep the ball moving.

He is also a more creative player than Forshaw and has four assists compared to Forshaw’s two.

The only problem the Whites may face if they want to bring Kamara to Elland Road is his price with Rangers valuing him at £8m.

This could prove to be problematic unless the rumoured investment is completed soon.

Kamara started his career with Arsenal but was released in 2017 and has now made a name for himself in the SPFL.

His time with Rangers is going well, and he is playing in the Europa League.

Forshaw

However, could the lure of Elland Road and the chance to work under Marcelo Bielsa be enough to tempt the 24-year-old to leave Glasgow and return to England?

Time will tell, but Kamara could be a superb addition to the Whites’ midfield.
