With the speculation linking Aston Villa with a potential move for key Leeds United player Kalvin Phillips this summer well known, some fans have become very concerned after the 23-year-old wasn’t placed front and centre during the kit launch on Tuesday.
With plenty of images doing the rounds on social media as we celebrate our centenary year, although Phillips did appear in the introduction video briefly, the headline players were Patrick Bamford, Liam Cooper and Bailey Peacock-Farrell.
With plenty of fans not spotting him or Kemar Roofe, given the week we’ve had with the departure of Pontus Jansson and others moving on, understandably most felt that there was a reason for this with announcements of new contracts not yet forthcoming.
could have had investment or takeover by some very well off people. But cos we are Leeds we will sell our best players. what was the point in Bielsa staying on. Never expected to feel this low. even after the playoof second leg. my glass is definately half empty right now.

A worrying sign for LUFC fans to be sure. However, if you do lose Phillips as well as Jansson, as long as Marcelo is given that money to bring in his own replacements Leeds will progress. Best coach in the league by miles in my opinion.

No Kiko. No Roofe. No Phillips. Hope this isn’t a sign lads.

So…there is no sign of homegrown Kalvin Phillips in the promo video and it doesn't appear he's modelling the kit anywhere either…????#lufc

No Phillips or Roofe at the kit launch. Going to be huge is we lose them. Arguably three of our best players last season will have gone-Radz is particularly quiet at the minute. We need something as a ‘pick me up’ #lufc

Reckon Kalvin Phillips being nowhere near that new kit launch suggests they’ll probably cash in on him as well…bad feeling #lufc pic.twitter.com/t0F4dKTjuc

It was only the other week that optimism was pretty sky high following the capture of Helder Costa, particularly with a buy obligation as we knew he wouldn’t come cheap but even the glass half full brigade will be nervous at the moment.
The references to club advice are a particular worry.
