After all the commotion over players coming in last week, news about those going out sort of quietened down.
But they sure did pick up over the weekend. Journalist Alan Nixon tweeted that Leeds United were keeping a tab on Stoke City’s defensive midfielder Ryan Woods, should Villa decide to go all in and make an offer that Leeds simply couldn’t refuse for Kalvin Phillips.
It’s been previously reported that Leeds won’t accept anything less than £30m for the 23-year-old, but Nixon reports that the only way this move can go any further is if Phillips asks for a transfer.
Whilst some wouldn’t be surprised if the owners did somehow decide to pull this deal off despite the love and affection that the Leeds fans have for one of their own, there were plenty who were quick to dismiss the report for that exact reason.
With Kalvin Phillips having come through the academy at Elland Road, and saying in the past how playing for Leeds United is a privilege it would take some convincing to get him to turn his head towards the Midlands, although players leaving their boyhood clubs has happened before, so don’t be too dismissive of it just yet.
Knowing Leeds we will flog Philips for 15m and get woods for 25m ???? orta and co ( chuckle bros)

All those who say he is Leeds through and through and doesn’t want to go please remember he is being offered a massive amount of money compared to what he is on at Leeds and also remember plenty other Leeds through and through players have walked
