Mats Klich’s resurgence to form under manager Marcelo Bielsa last season was warmly greeted by large numbers of Leeds United fans, but despite his continued efforts and importance for us this season, some fans have expressed slight concern about his productivity when it comes to goals and assists.
16 games into the year, Klich has only chipped in with two goals and one assist across all competitions, but in fairness, despite being in the mix at the top of the Championship table again, in many ways it has been a slow start for Leeds as a whole when it comes to ongoing goalscoring concerns.
With news this week that the 29-year-old was once again back in the Polish international setup for their upcoming European Championship clashes, it seems the Klich debate was brought centre-stage amongst fans who continued to be split on his performances this year.
Yet some Leeds fans genuinely try and argue he should be dropped. If Bamford could finish he’d have about 25 assists by now.

Just like the ones who were gagging for Harrison to be dropped 5 games ago, or dropping Forshaw, or starting Costa at the start of the season, or starting Clarke and Edmonson last season

Leeds certainly haven’t hit their groove this year, but we continue to create good chances, we just need it to click but the return of Pablo Hernandez to contention should certainly help that.
