According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Sampdoria have tabled a multi-million pound bid for Ronaldo Vieira.

The Italian side is obviously a top flight team over there and that represents an opportunity for the young midfielder to go and take.

Certainly, I’d like to see him stay but, actually, I think it would be the right thing to do and let him go.

He’s a good player but it looks like he is down the pecking order under Bielsa and if it is good money it makes sense to cash in.

Vieira, of course, shone under Garry Monk in 2016/17 but struggled a bit last season and it remains to be seen whether or not we decide to let him go.

The Verdict

Clearly, he is a good player as Serie A sides don’t go after footballers they think are going to be duds.

If the offer is right, though, it makes sense to accept.
