Most Touches, 3 Shots & 4 Key Passes Sees Leeds Star Lift The First MotM Of 2019/20

After what has been a mixed summer for Leeds United fans with all the departures, and few arrivals (at least so far), on Sunday manager Marcelo Bielsa saw his side kick off the 2019/20 Championship campaign with a very solid victory over Bristol City.

Goals from Pablo Hernandez, Patrick Bamford and Jack Harrison gave us the more than comfortable 3-0 lead, although the hosts at Ashton Gate did find a consolation effort with eleven minutes remaining in the tie.

With plenty of positives from three goals scored from four clear chances on target after last season’s struggles to convert, Pablo Hernandez clearly stole the show in the eyes of many, and statistics website Whoscored made the Spaniard their first ‘star man’ of the season following his goal and assist, rating him at a whopping 8.96.

Completing the top five on the day were Bamford (7.59), Adam Forshaw (7.08), Kiko Casilla (7.01) and Kalvin Phillips (7.01).

A good opening weekend for Leeds, now we just have to keep it going and learn the lessons from last year.
