Celta de Vigo forward Emre Mor is keen to join Leeds United during the January window, according to Haberler.

Mor has spent the first half of the 2019/20 campaign on loan with Turkish giant Galatasaray, but has struggled to establish himself at the Turk Telekom Stadium with head coach Fatih Terim awarding just five starts in 16 appearances across all competitions to date.

The 15-cap former Turkey international has also failed to score in any of his outings for Cimbom, while seeing one yellow card in four Champions League Group Stage ties and was shown a second yellow against Kayserispor in August.

Mor was issued two cautions in two minutes against Bulent Uygun’s Kadir Has Stadium natives in what was only his third Super Lig appearance for Gala, and has not featured in their four most recent top-flight fixtures.

Galatasaray was Mor’s favoured destination for a summer switch during the last transfer window amid suggestions that a Premier League side may come calling, though the right-winger is now preparing to wear the jersey of a new side.

Brentford are said to be considering a winter offer to take Mor out of his struggles in Turkey and place him in Thomas Frank’s squad at Griffin Park, as they look to build on their current third-place standing in the Championship.

Leeds would be Mor’s preferred destination this time around following rumoured interest in West Yorkshire, though Haberler note that the club are cautious over forging a mid-season pursuit.

United executives fear that Mor’s slack form under Terim at the Turk Telekom Stadium would do little to help manager Marcelo Bielsa wrap up promotion into the Premier League, with the club currently a point behind second-tier leaders West Bromwich Albion after Saturday’s defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.

Director of Football Victor Orta signing Mor and Bielsa reigniting the forward’s career is also an unlikely feat, with the £1.35million-rated attacker only boasting four career goals in professional club football in 87 games.

Mor has not found the back of the net since October 2017, too, while penning his most recent of seven career assists in April 2018.

In other Leeds United news, a sought-after talent may turn down United’s contract offer amid interest from the Premier League.
