After a very enjoyable weekend for Leeds United fans with not only a Centenary to celebrate, but also three points against Birmingham City courtesy of Kalvin Phillips’ second half efforts, on loan Brighton and Hove Albion centre-half Ben White was a man who again came in for plenty of praise following his efforts across the 90 minutes.
Although we weren’t at our best, and did concede more chances to the opposition than feels usual now under manager Marcelo Bielsa, we did keep another clean sheet and the 22-year-old more than played his part in that.
With fans and pundits alike already raving about White’s qualities and just where he could end up in the game given his youthful promise, his capture has long seemed to be a moment of genius as he’s admirably replaced the well loved Magic Hat and he certainly doesn’t look out of place in the second tier either.
Ben White – A king amongst men. #lufc

Ben White > Van Dijk. We are all thinking it, so just putting it out there. #lufc

Ben White will play for England. The lad is going right to the top. It's a damn good job he was there today. The other 3 in that back four give me the fear #lufc
