Marcus Antonsson’s future remains unresolved with him set to return to the club this summer after a loan deal with Blackburn in 2017/18.

The Swede has never really cut the mustard in a White shirt and even down in League One he didn’t really set the place alight.

Rovers more relied on the likes of Danny Graham and Bradley Dack for their goals during the campaign and it’s quite possible they’re not fussed about keeping him.

Whatever happens, though, a decision will need to be made and Lee Sobot has provided this update on social media as per what the player’s agent has said:

The Verdict

He’ll be gone this summer and I won’t miss him to be frank.

I don’t know who will take him, to be honest, as I’m not sure League One is even his level and so perhaps a trip abroad will suit him.

Let’s see what happens.
