Leeds United fans have had plenty to talk about during the international break despite their side not being in action.
The Peacocks were one of a number of Championship sides to express their disappointment with Sky Sports’ television rights to the EFL ahead of the anticipated renewal of a new deal – with some suggesting a breakaway could occur.
However, earlier this week a controversial extension to the deal was agreed and many fans across the EFL, including the majority of Leeds fans, are extremely unhappy with the situation and how things have been handled.
While Leeds continue to fight the deal behind the scenes, it seems other clubs are happy with the agreement and Portsmouth have been named as one of those sides – which has attracted an angry response from some fans.
We have gathered some of the comments directed at the League One side below.
Who are Portsmouth? Mickey Mouse club..

The likes of Pompey just take the money for no impact. Of course they’re happy.

Wonder how they’d view it if they were on Sky 20 odd times a season soon have a change of heart

And there you go. It’s the integrity of club’s that’s on display here, or rather the lack of it. It doesn’t affect pompey. In fact they’ll probably make a nice few quid from it so of course they support it. For now at least until it does affect them, then they cry their eyes out

Majority of the 19 are bigger clubs than some already in the Prem and there’s the reason. They get £97m for coming last and we get change to buy a new showerhead for the dressing room

Of course they do, they get their share of the money with no changes to their games or all the upheaval we suffer week in week out

Can’t blame these clubs. The deal is however discriminatory against teams that are incovenienced 15-20 times every season, simply because their support boosts TV figures. I think there should be an upper limit imposed and when reached affected clubs can refuse to be televised.
