Is there anything this man can’t do?
Bielsa has endeared himself to the Leeds United supporters in a few ways, from his bucket on the touchline, to paying the club’s fine out of his own pocket off the pitch. Whilst on the pitch, he’s taken the club a huge step in the right direction, jumping from 13th to 3rd in just one season and taking them so close to promotion.
That work on the pitch seems to be going well this summer, as they ran out 5-0 victors at York City in a pre-season friendly.
However, that stuff off the pitch isn’t going away. After their victory last night, Bielsa took another step towards enshrining his legacy as one of the Leeds faithful’s favourites managers by taking time out of his schedule to stop and take photos with the fans who had stayed behind.
As we know from the infamous presentation in the wake of Spygate, Bielsa’s got a pretty hectic schedule, so for him to be willing to spend so much time with the fans was just great to see. The feeling was felt not just by those he posed for pictures with, but by those who came across the story on Twitter.
This is something else. Just an absolute decent bloke that happens to be a football genius.
