Leeds United boss Brian McDermott says a quality finish separated the sides as Leeds beat Barnsley 1-0 at Oakwell.
In a poor quality game, Ross McCormack`s first half goal separated the sides as he controlled Matt Smith`s header with a clever flick before firing low past Luke Steele in the Barnsley goal.
Speaking to LUTV, McDermott said, “It was a tough game and it was separated by a real piece of quality.
“I am delighted for everyone. We have come back with two clean sheets in two games we needed to win and we have won them both.”
The goal for McCormack makes it 29 goals for the season in all competitions and he need just two more in the league to become on the third Leeds player to hit 30 league goals in a season.
The Scottish international striker also looks set to finish the season as the leading goalscorer in the championship as he is four goals in front of second placed Blackburn Rovers striker Jordan Rhodes.
