Leeds United boss Brian McDermott says he is trying to bring two more players in before the side leave for Slovenia on Sunday.

McDermott is taking his squad on a ten-day training camp in Slovenia and he says he has deals in place with two players; it is just sorting out terms with the respective players clubs.

Speaking on BBC Radio Leeds, McDermott said, “I am still working on two at the moment.

“It will be tight to do anything in the next two days but we will see. It is a possibility.

“There are a couple possible. We have talked terms; it is just a matter of negotiating a deal with the clubs who we are talking to and trying to get deals done.”

McDermott made his second signing of the week today, finally bringing in striker Noel Hunt following his release from Reading.

He follows Luke Murphy into the club, who signed from Crewe Alexandra on Monday.

The duo makes it three new players brought in by McDermott since the end of last season, with giant striker Matt Smith signing from Oldham Athletic last month.

McDermott admitted at the start of the summer that he was hoping to bring in six or seven players before the new season.
