You just knew as soon as he said it, that this was going to get some disappointing clucks.
It looks like it’s going to be a repeat of last year at Elland Road, as Director of Football Victor Orta has said that he doesn’t expect there to be much business happening during the January transfer window.
There were some who predicted that a lack of investment would end up leaving them falling short of promotion last campaign (BBC Radio Leeds via Vital Leeds), and alas they did.
In fairness, it wasn’t through a lack of trying, they did their best to try and bring in Dan James from Swansea City, only to see the deal called off at the last minute. Although this time it looks like they won’t be signing anyone because of a lack of action on their end, rather than problems with the teams they’ll be looking to buy from.
It wasn’t exactly the news that Leeds fans were hoping for, as they took to Twitter to slam the Director, with many of them getting a sense of déjà vu.
So, its going to be another wasted January then? We've got a clueless DoF and a skint owner. May as well just copy and paste last season.

If we don’t strengthen and fall short again I will be fuming

You'd think there would be lessons learned from last season. Bet Brom bring in a proven goalscorer and paste the league

Deja vu…… 12 months down the line again.. Amazing how other teams land who they want but we some how can't for what ever reason

Standard….didn’t expect anything else ????♂️

Thats why we failed to go up last season. We had injuries, other sides strengthened and we fell away.
Orta is poor in my opinion.
We play a high intensity pressing game and we needed fresh legs in jan.
Can see it all happening again. I also think we will lose eddie to a rival— helicopter squad (@helicoptersqua1) November 14, 2019
Not learning from last season ????????

So we haven’t learnt from last season then.

Do Leeds need a bigger squad?
Yes
No
If they fall short again due to a lack of investment, do you reckon they’ll finally learn their lesson and start to take the January window seriously?
