“I hope he’s still alive” – Mateusz Klich gives update on Leeds teammate

|

Leeds may not have any games to play but Phil Hay recently revealed that the players have still been keeping fit by coming to Thorp Arch to run around the track there in order to maintain their fitness.

The regulations of self-isolation still prohibit players coming into contact with one another, though, and that means the daily meetings of the players and staff has not been possible.

It is a shame for the players, as though it gives them a break from the likely incessant banter, it does stop them from seeing good pals, with the Whites’ league position likely reflective of a strong bond between the squad.

Do you think Bielsa will be Leeds manager next season?

Yes

No

The camp is full of characters, too, perhaps none more so than Ezgjan Alioksi, with fans also wondering and imagining what the Macedonian has been up to in the last couple of weeks.

Mateusz Klich was asked for an update on his teammate, but without seeing the 28-year-old he could only respond with an amusing insight.

The midfielder stated that he doesn’t know how Alioski is coping, but added “I hope he’s still alive” to show that he is still thinking of him.

Self-isolation for an enigma like Alioski must be challenging but it could mean that he is raring to go when football does return, and that could be of huge benefit to the rest of the squad and for Leeds United.
