Leeds United are top of the Championship and they are in a commanding position as they look to seal a return to the Premier League.
Marcelo Bielsa has done a fine job since he was appointed and he has built a consistent side. A reason for that may be because of the way he keeps faith with his players and Patrick Bamford is one who the Argentinian has stuck by, with the striker featuring in 36 league games this season, grabbing 13 goals.
Despite that, he is someone who has divided opinion in the past but fitness issues had prevented Jean-Kevin Augustin properly challenging for his number nine role.
This is Bamford’s second full season at Elland Road since he signed from Middlesbrough in a deal that was worth up to £10m. Given the fee, expectations were high and fans were asked on Twitter whether the 26-year-old has justified the hefty price Leeds paid to secure his transfer.
And, it prompted many responses with differing views. Here we look at some of the comments…
No, not really. I hoped/expected him to be better than he actually is. As well as the large transfer fee, you also have to take into consideration his high wages.

Hes a massive reason why we're top of the league.
We're where we are because of his quality and selfless contribution, not in spite of.
I often wonder if those who think differently go to matches or have any concept of Bielsaball and what that requires.

Overall yes. His goal tally is disappointing yes, but his contribution to the game is good.

He’s part of the team to take us up to the top of the league, so yes.

Absolutely not. We would already be promoted had he converted half the gilt edged chances he conspired to miss this season 🤦🏻♂️

He's been decent in spells. Lacks consistency. He could play a good role as a 10 in future behind someone more lethal. Che Adams with bamford (when Pablo retires)
