The current pandemic has hit a multitude of businesses in different ways, and the football industry has been no different.
However, there are different ways of handling matters, and the direction Leeds have taken is in stark contrast to that of Premier League outfits, which much greater sources of revenue, such as Tottenham and Newcastle.
Both of those clubs have announced that non-playing staff will be placed on furlough, thereby receiving 80% of their wage despite the millions they pay out to some of their players for just an annual salary.
Who would you rather took over control of our club?

The Whites deserve credit, therefore, as the players and management have agreed to defer their wages in order to ensure others at the club are able to receive their normal pay.
Many fans have shared their respect for such an action, with some stating that it makes them proud to be follower of the club.
The recent community work also showed that we are trying to do our bit in testing times, so long may it continue.
Excellent article and a truly fantastic gesture by the players and management. Makes me, for one, feel very proud. Imagine the publicity this would have got with the media though, if their darlings Liverpool had instigated it

I saw Harry Redknapp talking about it. If the players of these teams have any morals they will take a pay cut to support non-playing staff. Getting Β£80k instead of 100 isn’t going to bankrupt them
