Many Leeds United fans have been reacting on social media to an alarming stat showing the club’s form over the past ten Championship fixtures.

The stat is rather alarming to our hopes of securing promotion into the Premier League this season, as it highlights just how grand our collapse has been in recent weeks having held an imperious lead over the Play-Off pack not too long ago.

After beating Hull City 2-0 on December 10 and keeping the free-scoring Jarrod Bowen quiet, Marcelo Bielsa’s men held an 11-point advantage over third-placed Fulham and sat top of the Championship standings on goal difference to West Bromwich Albion.

However, our collapse began straight after beating the Tigers when Cardiff City were able to fight back from three goals down to leave Elland Road with a draw.

Since then, Bielsa has only overseen two wins at the helm with victories over Birmingham City and Millwall, whilst drawing with Preston North End and West Brom, and losing against Fulham, Sheffield Wednesday, Queens Park Rangers, Wigan Athletic and most recently Nottingham Forest.

Can we still secure automatic promotion?

A haul of just nine points from a possible 30 has seen our lead over the Play-Off pack disappear, and now head into our Tuesday night clash with fifth-placed Brentford only ahead of third-placed Fulham on goal difference.

Only QPR and Luton Town have taken fewer points over the last ten league games than we, while only the Hatters have won on fewer occasions with a sole victory to their name coming against Derby County.

Here are some of the messages shared as fans reacted to the alarming stat of only basement boys Luton winning fewer games over the past ten league fixtures, as supporters offered their suggestions on how Bielsa can stop the rot…

In other Leeds United news, a prominent Whites pundit has demanded more from a £2.7m-rated man leaving his teammates “fearful” after recent blunders.
