Leeds United sit top of the Championship but need to find their feet again quickly after suffering three consecutive defeats across all competitions.
Losses against Hull City and Nottingham Forest saw Marcelo Bielsa’s side miss two glorious opportunities to extend their lead at the top of the standings, while the FA Cup defeat to QPR was not too much of a blow admittedly as the club will be focused on their promotion push.
However, with a stern test against fellow promotion-chasers Derby County on Friday, there is plenty of work to be done and fans on social media have not been impressed by the business their club has conducted so far in the mid-season window.
Already short of defensive depth, the Peacocks allowed Conor Shaughnessy to move on loan to Hearts until the end of the season and also extended Lewie Coyle’s loan at Fleetwood Town – with the latter decision leaving many scratching their heads.
Fans were not afraid to share their thoughts and took to social media to give their reactions to the deal. We have gathered some of their comments below.
Honestly think coyle would have taken the opportunity in his stride with all the injuries and staked a claim for starting position. Mot

I don’t get this at all. He would be much better off back at Leeds and playing. Ayling has been off the pace for a while and Berardi plays more at CB now

Shame, he’d have made a decent centre back for us

Should be brought back along with Paudie O’Connor

Makes no sense. Sure he doesn’t know Bielsa’s system but he would pick it up just as the others have. Shaughnessy going out on loan is understandable but with such a thin squad you just hope it’s a sign that we are going to bring others in. If not we will be going backwards.
