Norwich boss Nigel Worthington described the Leeds ground as ‘magnificent’, and he wasn’t disheartened by the late strike.

Nigel Worthington: ‘It was a good solid away performance but we needed that because Elland Road is a very tough place to come.

‘We went to Palace two weeks ago but we didn’t turn up. But we turned up today, worked hard and caused Leeds all sorts of problems in the second half.

‘It was important we came here in a positive frame of mind to relish the challenge.

‘Elland Road is a magnificent ground with a wonderful atmosphere but the players got their teeth into the game in good style.

‘That was more like Norwich away from home – full of grit and determination.’
