Billy Whitehouse is the latest youngster to announce his departure from Elland Road this summer.

Whitehouse, who joined Leeds last summer from Doncaster Rovers on a one-year deal, took to Twitter to announce he would be leaving the club this summer.

The 20-year-old made just one senior appearance for Leeds in the disappointing FA Cup Fourth Round defeat at Sutton United in January. Whitehouse started the game in which Leeds lost 1-0 to the non-league side.

Whitehouse was a regular for the development squad side during the season making 20 appearances and he also had a short spell away from the club on loan at Guiseley.

The winger joins fellow youngster Jack Vann in confirming they will leave the club this summer ahead of Leeds announcing their released and retained list.

Midfielder Alex Purver also looks set to leave Leeds after Head of Physical Performance at Leeds Sean Rush wished him all the best for the future on Twitter last week.

Leeds have until this weekend to submit their retained list to the EFL.
