Leeds United defender Aidan White has been included in the Republic of Ireland under 21 squad for their European championship qualifiers against Hungary and Turkey.

White made his debut for the under 21`s earlier this month in their 2-1 friendly win over Austria.

The 19 year old has enjoyed a successful start to the season with Leeds, starting the last three games.

White was forced off with a foot injury in the midweek Carling Cup win at Doncaster, although Leeds boss Simon Grayson expects him to be fit for the game at Ipswich on Saturday.

Ireland face Hungary in Sligo on Thursday September 1st before flying out to Turkey for a game in Manisa on Tuesday September 6th.

Fellow Leeds player Darren O`Dea was included in Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni`s provisional senior 32-man squad earlier this month for their European championship games with Slovakia and Russia in September.

O`Dea is waiting to find out whether he will be part of the squad for the crunch qualifiers in Slovakia and at home to Russia.
