Leeds United boss Neil Warnock says he intends to talk to Everton boss David Moyes about on loan midfielder Ross Barkley over the weekend.

Barkley is due to return to Everton after the game at Middlesbrough next Tuesday night and Warnock will be hoping to extend the loan of the young midfielder. Speaking at his Press Conference ahead of the Wolverhampton Wanderers this weekend, Warnock said, “I will be talking to David (Moyes) over the weekend. He said Ross could come for a month, and play a few games and we would have a chat nearer the time.”

Barkley as played three times for Leeds since arriving from Goodison Park in January.

The 19-year-old spent the early part of the season with Sheffield Wednesday before returning to Everton before Christmas and he played two games for the toffees.

Everton refused Leeds permission to play Barkley in the FA Cup tie with Tottenham Hotspur as to not get his cup-tied.
