Leeds United boss Neil Warnock says the squad is almost back to full fitness after the virus and injuries.
Warnock is back at Elland Road after he was forced to miss the game with Birmingham last weekend with a virus, although his assistant Mick Jones is now suffering with the virus.
The Leeds boss says the break Lee Peltier had over the festive period has helped him with his on-going groin injury. Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Warnock said, “Peltier`s groin has improved. We left him out for the two games on Christmas and it did him the world of good.”
Youngster Sam Byram is the only first team player to have featured in every game so far this season.
He came off the bench against Birmingham last weekend after suffering with the virus and he has also been suffering from a swollen knee. “Sam (Byram) is back in full training. Today is the first day that he has been back in full training this week,” added Warnock.
Just Leigh Bromby and Ramon Nunez remain on the Elland Road injury list. The duo are both out for the season after suffering serious knee injuries.
Bromby suffered a ruptured patella knee tendon in the penultimate game of last season at Cardiff City and the club don`t expect him to return before the end of his contract in the summer.
Nunez was placed on the transfer list in the summer by the club but the Honduran international suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury in a development squad game in August, ruling him out for the season.
