Neil Warnock launched a scathing attack on his squad after seeing their diminishing play-off hopes hit again after another poor performance at Elland Road.

Leeds have yet to win for Warnock at Elland Road since his arrival and after the latest defeat at the hand of Watford he says he will no longer put up with the drivel being served up by the current squad of players.

Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Warnock said, “I have said for the last few weeks I need questions answering. You cannot expect 20,000 plus fans to turn up for that drivel. I am not putting up with it.”

Despite not conceding a goal in his four away games since his arrival, Leeds have now lost three of their four home games under Warnock and they have one of the worst home records in the championship at what used to be ‘fortress Elland Road`. “I can accept certain things. One or two people have said that the stadium is too big and there is too much expectation. That is a load of rubbish,” continued Warnock.

Warnock could not hide his disappointment in his chat with Eddie Gray after the game. Warnock believes that the players are not committed enough and was shocked to see players pulling out of challenges. “For me, when you play for Leeds United you have to play with your heart on your sleeve and you have to die for the cause.

“I saw players look away rather than head a ball. I saw a midfield player look away rather than head the ball. It does my head in,”
added Warnock.

Leeds now travel to inform Reading on Good Friday who could go top of the championship with a win over Leeds in front of the live Sky TV cameras.
