Leeds United boss Neil Warnock says there is no timescale on the return of defender Leigh Bromby.
Bromby looks set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after rupturing his patella tendon in the draw at Cardiff City last weekend.
The defender is to face surgery and Warnock says they are looking at the best place for Bromby to go for the operation.
Speaking on the official website, Warnock said, “We are looking for the best place For Leigh to go.
“There`s not been many injuries like this, it is quite rare, so we have to be cautious and it is important that he goes to the best place for his operation.
“We haven`t set any timescale at all on Leigh.”
The 31 year old had worked his way back into contention at Leeds since the arrival of Warnock after two frustrating seasons at Elland Road.
Bromby made just fifteen appearances for Leeds last season and he had made just six appearances this season before the arrival of Warnock in February.
The duo had worked together previously at Sheffield United and he played in Warnock`s first game in charge of Leeds at Portsmouth.
Bromby suffered a calf injury in Warnock`s second game in charge against Southampton, which kept him out for a month.
He returned in the game at Reading at the start of April before his injury at Cardiff last weekend and he looked to have worked his way into the plans of Warnock for next season.
