Leeds United boss Neil Warnock says he will be looking to arrange a game in the midweek following the Huddersfield Town game to improve the fitness of the fit again Ross McCormack.
McCormack recently returned to the squad after missing thirteen games after chipping a bone in his ankle at Cardiff City in September.
He made his return at Millwall last week when he came off the bench with just under 30 minutes remaining. He also played the following day for the development squad and he completed another 30 minutes from the start before being replaced.
McCormack was once again in the squad in the weekend win over Crystal Palace, where he came on for the final eight minutes but with games continuing to come thick and fast, Warnock says he is finding it hard to fit in a practice game, so that he can get 90 minutes under his belt.
Speaking on LUTV, Warnock said, “He needs a game under his belt so that he knows he can get through it. We have so many first team games at the moment; we don`t have a chance to arrange a game.
“After the Huddersfield game we will be looking to put a game on for him, so that he can get 90 minutes in during the midweek.”
Leeds face Leicester City at Elland Road on Tuesday night, before a trip to local neighbours Huddersfield Town on Saturday with McCormack expected to be named once again amongst the substitutes.
