Leeds United boss Neil Warnock is looking for a win on Saturday against Barnsley to see Leeds in a healthy position going into the international break.

Leeds have picked up seven points from their last three games and are just two points outside the play-off places, despite already playing four of the top six in the division.

Warnock has also seen his small squad beset by injuries with key players Ross McCormack, Paul Green and David Norris all having time on the sidelines already this season.

The Leeds boss is looking forward to the break and a chance to get a few of the injured players back into the fold. Speaking on LUTV, Warnock said, “We have to get the points on the board on Saturday and then have a break.

“We are looking forward to getting a few players back. Norris will have had a game by then and Green should be back in the swing of things.

It will be a lot healthier and hopefully we can bring in another addition before the next game, so we will look so much better on the bench.”

The game with Barnsley is the first of two Yorkshire derbies this month with Leeds returning from the international break with a trip to Sheffield Wednesday.
