Leeds United boss Neil Warnock was left frustrated and disappointed after seeing his side drop two crucial points in the dying moments of the game with West Ham at Elland Road.

In a tough tight encounter, Leeds looked to be on their way to a crucial three points in their pursuit of a play-off place when Luciano Becchio put them ahead with just seven minutes remaining.

West Ham equalised in the final minute of normal time when Danny Collins headed home from close range for the visitors.

Warnock was frustrated with more dropped points and he felt the side deserved the win. Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Warnock said, “I can`t fault the players since I have been here. It is just frustrating when you look at the games we have had, we should have had four wins.

“Time is not on our side and I think that is what really disappoints me.

“The result is just one full of disappointment really. I did not think we deserved to come away with only a draw.”

Leeds have picked up just one point from their two home games under Warnock against promotion chasing Southampton and West Ham and Warnock feels that coming away with just one point from the two games is rubbing salt into the wounds. “You have to be disappointed when you have come away from the game with Southampton with nothing when we have played the way we did and only a point against West Ham when we have played the way we did, it rubs salt in the wounds,” added the Leeds boss.

The draw sees Leeds drop another point behind the play-off places to five points with just nine games remaining.

Leeds must now prepare themselves for a must win game against struggling Nottingham Forest at Elland Road on Tuesday night.
